Guide To The Best Outdoor Concerts In The Bay Area
We’ve all been waiting for live music venues to open up! Keller Williams teamed up with Grassdoor to make this the most memorable summer yet and it all starts with outdoor concerts and good company.
Scroll down to find all of the best outdoor concerts in San Francisco this year – from large capacity venues such as the Greek Theatre to free, community concerts at Stern Grove. While you're at the concert (or thinking about going to the concert) add to the fun and get your cannabis delivered to you with Grassdoor. Their ASAP delivery will drop off wherever you are - at a bar, at the beach or even at the concert before the headliner comes on. Now that's something special.
(2001 Gayley Rd // Berkeley) - Opening July 24
A fan favorite for years, it’s hard to beat the good vibes and even better acts that come through the Greek Theatre. Catch Phoebe Bridgers, Atmosphere, John Legend, Louis the Child, and more top-notch performers under the Berkeley stars this year.
(1 Amphitheatre Way // Mountain View) - Opening August 21
Ah, it's always a party over at Mountain View's Shoreline Amphitheatre. From Warped Tour to Rolling Loud to Outlaw Fest, the venue has seen its fair share of festivals and other incredible shows. Time to gear up for this next round of concerts because Pitbull & Iggy Azalea, KISS, The Jonas Brothers, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, and more are touching down at Shoreline soon!
(900 Marin St // Dogpatch) - Open Now
The Midway is absolutely our go-to spot when I need a good boogie with some fresh air, but without breaking the bank. Channel Tres, Justin Martin, and Lee Burridge are just some of the names I've seen at The Midway recently, but I’m stoked for who's coming up. Catch Diplo, Dillon Francis, Gorgon City, and tons more hitting the stage this fall.
20th Street Block Party by Ian Young
(20th St // Mission) - October 16
Who doesn't love a free party? Dance your a$$ off at Noise Pop's 20th Street Block Party this October, showcasing local makers & vendors, restaurants, and, of course, tons of fun musical acts. In the past we've seen Neon Indian, Kilo Kish, The Marías, Sugar Candy Mountain, Empress Of, Mac Demarco, Chicano Batman, and oh so many more. Who could be on the lineup this year?!
Outside Lands by Zachary de Guzman
(Golden Gate Park // SF)
I love this place. From the Bison Paddock to the Botanical Garden to Hippie Hill, this park is nothing short of magical. All Day I Dream is coming up this August for all you playa-missing burners, but Outside Lands is the better-known festival of GGP. Catch The Strokes, Lizzo, Tame Impala, Tyler the Creator and more this Halloween Weekend.
(19th & Sloat // Parkside) - Open Now
NGL, Stern Grove Festival has carried summer 2021 on its back after a 15-month live music hiatus. Acts such as St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Ledisi, Perfume Genius, and Thievery Corporation have already taken the stage, but be sure to catch the second half of the festival in the coming weeks! X, Joan Jett, Thundercat, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Tower of Power are taking to Stern Grove every Sunday through August. Oh, did I mention it's free?
(2000 Kirker Pass Rd // Concord) - Open Now
This one's for all you deep East Bay-ers. Who am I kidding, with this concert calendar, Concord Pavilion is for everyone. TLC with Bones Thugs & Harmony, Megadeath, Trippie Redd, AJR, Santana, and, our personal favorite, H.E.R's Lights On Festival, will take place at Conord Pavilion and I couldn't be more excited.
(2800 Main St // St Helena) - Open Now
There's nothing like being engulfed in sunshine amongst the grapevines. Blue Note Napa and Charles Krug Winery have teamed up to provide a summer of live tunes and good times. Tycho, Poolside, and Kenny G have already performed and now we're ready to see KT Tunstall, Taj Mahal, Dave Koz, and more hit the stage soon.
(24 Willie Mays Plaza // South Beach) - Opening for Concerts August 27
While Oracle Park is currently open for Giants games-galore, I surely miss the live concerts I used to get there. As of now, we've got one show on the 2021 roster at Oracle Park, but it'll most definitely be enough to hold us over. The Hella Mega Tour with Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy heads to the ballpark this August and we're hella ready for it.
(Easy Grade Trail // Mill Valley) - Opening September 11
Things are about to get funky and folky. Sound Summit with Father John Misty, Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real, Allah-Las, Cha Wa, Teal Collins, and Andy Cabic will be at the Mountain Theatre this September. Dust off your dancing shoes and party on Mt. Tam all day.
