I’ve put together a list of bars, shops, and restaurants that are worthy of a stop in their own right but will also liven up your feed. C’mon, do it for the gram!
San Francisco
Ampersand

Ampersand has the prettiest floral arrangements in the prettiest space around. Design a bouquet, hand select your stems, or pick out a new house plant in their airy industrial space. Don’t forget to snap a pic on the green couch!

Each space in this restaurant in the Phoenix Hotel has a personality of its own. From the moody record-filled shelves by the bar to the sunny poolside patio (not to mention the rotating selection of alcoholic slushies), you’re guaranteed a great vibe and a good time
Flora Grubb Gardens

Despite being a plant and garden store, a trip to Flora Grubb Gardens feels more like an adventure in an ultra photogenic botanical garden. You can pick up indoor and outdoor plants, pots and planters, and a rainbow of outdoor furniture while you’re there.

Sprinkles on coffee? What could be better than that?! With Birthday Cake, Cookie Monster, and Red Velvet lattes on the menu, Home is home to some of the most Instagrammed drinks in San Francisco, and for good reason!
The Palace Hotel

Though the entire property is a thing to behold, the Garden Court at the Palace hotel takes Instagrammable to the next level - the grandeur of the dining room is something that only the city’s oldest luxury hotel could pull off! Take it all in over brunch or their Signature Tea Service.

Modern Times

I'm going to go ahead and say what everyone’s thinking - this just might be the cutest brewery I’ve ever seen. The best part is, the nearly 30 beers on tap are just as much fun as the pink walls and tables. You can even grab some four-packs to go!
Palmetto
(1900 Telegraph Ave. // Oakland)
This Caribbean-inspired steakhouse and bar has all the retro diner vibes you could want with a cocktail menu that’s sure to please everyone. If you don’t happen to be in a retro mood, sister restaurant The Kon Tiki is just as photogenic, albeit a bit leafier.
Third Culture Bakery
(2701 Eighth St. // Berkeley)
Creator of the Mochi Muffin, Third Culture’s drinks and pastries are inspired by the owners’ childhoods in Indonesia and Taiwan. In addition to being delicious, everything on the menu is fun and colorful, and just right for a feature on the gram.

Backhaus

The bread and pastries at Backhaus take center stage, but the airy and natural space is also great. If the weather is nice, enjoy your croissant, cookie, and pretzel on the sunny patio. (They’ve got a full coffee menu too!)

Ettan’s exquisite design means every corner of the expansive restaurant has something interesting to look at, indoor and out. The best part? The Cal-Indian dishes and craft cocktails are just as photo-worthy as the space they’re prepared in.
Son & Garden

With walls covered in floral arrangements and bright colors (not to mention a cocktail topped with a cloud of cotton candy), i’m pretty sure this place was made for Instagram. The tea service is as cute as it gets, but they have full brunch and dinner menus as well.
North Bay
Fox & Kit

Part coffee house and part playground, Fox & Kit has something for all ages. The space is all white, natural wood, and jewel tones and the specially designed, one-of-a-kind play area means fun pics of the kiddos too.
RH Yountville

Like other RH locations, this restaurant, wine bar, and design gallery is extravagant, to say the least. A five-building compound, RH features a dining area with a glass roof, several “outdoor living rooms” and even has a historic wine vault.
Rustic
(300 Via Archimedes // Geyserville)
Located at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Rustic’s patio overlooks rose gardens and vineyards, in addition to the Sonoma County hills. The traditional Italian items on the menu are some of Coppola’s international favorites!
